During the month of May we welcomed a number of missions to the Cluster to meet our Key members as we move to invigorate the interaction within the member group.
We were privileged to jointly host BAE Systems Senior Manager, including one member from their US team to the Cluster along with Deakin University at the Waurn Ponds campus. The mission visited a number of our key members, including Carbon Nexus, Quickstep, IFM and met with representatives from our Board of Management. The mission was able to establish some key connections between Cluster Members and the group and we will be working to cement this relationship, providing opportunities for cluster members to support each other.
Our second mission of the month was from LMATS Australia. LMATS are an advanced materials laboratory services company and the Cluster hosted their MD and their CEO on two separate occasions. Subsequently, LMATS will be joining the cluster as a new member and we are working with them to establish key links to support cluster members.
Our First MOTM was on Friday 27th May at 10 am. Barista Bar Deakin University and unfortunately due to the bad weather we had a limited turnout. In order to increase numbers, we will move the event ON-LINE this month to Friday, June 24th at 10 am.
We will provide a ZOOM link to all Cluster members accordingly. We hope the Online format will allow more of you to attend from various locations around the state.
Our Next Webinar will be with the team from KPMG. KPMG will be providing the Cluster members with an update on the Grant space and what can be expected to become available.
The AFCG continues to have a key role to play in advancing the interaction with all stakeholders and to that end, AUSTRALIAN STANDARDS will also make a visit to the Cluster in JULY to look at key opportunities to partner and participate in the cluster.
We will also welcome a mission from TOYOTA TSUSHO Managing Director.
